Last week (January 29) after reading the article at pinoy money talk about withdrawing of Paypal funds using Philippine local banks. I was so excited to test this new feature from Paypal using my BDO account..
After adding my BDO account on my Paypal account bank list. I enter $14, and see what will happen later.. I also capture the screen shot from this transaction so I can blog it later on. hehe
Heres the screenshot.
The transaction took only 3days (Jan.29-Feb.1). Additional screenshot…
The rate of P40.91 / $1.00USD was applied from this transaction, minus the 50php processing fee from Paypal I was expecting an additional 522.74php from my BDO account.. but only P322.74 has arrived. So what is the 200php deduction? So it means there was an additional bank payment transaction for every withdrawal?
(click to view mybdo passbook scanned pic hehe)
(Pacensya na po sa mga site visitors, wala nako pera sa passbuk hehe, kinain na ng service charge ng BDO wla man lang pasabi na 5,000php na pla maintaining balance nila bdtrip sila!, ) I’ll just update this post for additional infos.., please post your comments.. and don’t forget to subscribe to my feeds, thanks. UPDATE: (FEB.6,2008): – Heres the BDO Paypal bank code I used in this transaction: 010530667 – If you are looking for more Philippine Paypal bank code list.. pls visit the post from Pinoy Money talk

Thanks for sharing your story. I inquired sa BDO yesterday… they say kelangan ko daw ng Executive (di savings) account for me to withdraw my Paypal money… mejo naguluhan ako. If you can share more information and guidelines for me, I really appreciate it. Thanks.

I am from BDO, but i myself am not aware who processes the paypal transactions in our company. I have been trying to figure out the paypal transfer to bdo account because i myself would be using it.
As you can see the BDO code you used 010530667 is from a Manila branch. If i someone could just provide me a BDO account that had a successful paypal transfer i could be albe locate who processes the transactions. I think there is no such as 200 fee because it was not even listed in our handouts of service charges.

hahahahaha… BDO is a DAMN bank!!!
WALANG KWENTA!!!
Banco de Oro (BDO) was known to be the largest lender here in the Philippines but could you imagine a universal bank that sucks?!
BDO really sucks!! I got my worst experience when a bullshit ATM machine ate my P6K Cash Card account load … Until now the money was still not returned yet… I have called the toll free, the first time I called; an agent told me that processing will took 5 days of investigation and gave me a reference number. After 5days, I called to follow up my account; unfortunately, the agent told me that there’s no feedback yet and added 2 more days to wait. After 2 days, I called again but the agent told me to call back by tomorrow. Again I called, but same reason; the agent told me that there’s still no feedback. She told me to wait for an SMS that will be sent to me, but I haven’t received any SMS. Again I called, and the agent just repeats what has been the reason earlier. I feel so tired calling all over again and I can’t remember how many times I did just to get my money back. It’s almost one month already and BDO haven’t returned my money yet. I don’t know how and why it goes like this! To think, they got their system and they can easily track all transactions and I believe one day is just enough. All their branches were just like dummies! When you approach to them, they’ll just give a phone and let you talk to a call center agent! Very stupid! Could a call center agent fix this up and return the money on my account?! I feel like I’m bursting already while talking on the phone. Every word I hear was just the same. Where is reliability in their services? The agent also told me ones that the number of calls I made for follow up was part of the investigation. Does she mean it like a proof that I am really not just making a story? Oh c’mon! How I wish to have a gun and say, “CAN I SHOOT YOU MISS?”
I have lost my patience already. They got plenty of alibis. They brought to much hassle in me and in my work. Do they want me to call every day?!! How could I? I have my work and I can’t have time to call at their toll free every day. I’m not really happy with what BDO had done. I need my money back… I’ve got several bills and rents to pay. I need to pay my boarding house and my internet bills. BDO is making a bad day for me… And yeah… BDO is really the largest! The largest provider of INCONVENIENCE! It sucks!!
ang tagal nang investigation kahit may “HARD COPY” report sila sa mga hindi na-dispense withdrawals!! infact, 2 days waiting would be enough but here I am, almost a month of waiting…
BDO WALANG KWENTA!!!

People you should use UnionBank EON account
No maintaining balance you only have to pay 350 per annum…Ganun lang ka simply. Pag internet banking lamang ang UNIONBANK EON. less ang services charges nila compared to other big banks!

April 13th, 2009 at 4:23 pm
hi! i am using eon account from unionbank for 2 years already. yung pag withdraw ko ng funds from paypal to my eon account, P50 pesos lang yung charge. and mas madali kasi after 2 days credited na yung money sa account ko. minsan nga pag mag withdraw ako sunday evening, pagka monday around 6 pm credited na yung pera sa account ko. so i suggest you use eon account tapos pag mag withdraw, i withdraw mo sa bank account para P50 lang yung charge dahil $5 ang charge pag sa ATM mo i withdraw.
regarding naman dyan sa BDO, mas gusto ko pa yata yung equitable dati. yun naman talaga original account ko. buti pa yun nakapag check agad ako ng balance online. unlike ngayon na naging BDO na sila parang naging mahina ang service. tapos kailangan pang mag enroll sa online banking and it takes long. buti pa sa equitable dati, sign up ka lang online, ayos na!
April 18th, 2009 at 5:19 pm
Maliban sa USD5.00 na automatic binabawas ng Paypal, nagchacharge din ang banks natin (in my case Unionbank for my EON account) ng off-site withdrawal fee. For example, magwiwithdraw tayo ng USD500 sa EON or any debit card, bawas na agad ng USD5. Tapos pag reflect sa account natin, bawas na rin ng 15USD in US off-site withdrawal charge hehehe sama nga ano? ang off-site withdrawal charge depende sa amount withdrawn
June 6th, 2009 at 4:26 am
Hay naku! Well, i have an even worst situation here… Well, i just tried Paypal to BDO widrawal, and due to lumaki na pala BDO maintaining balnce ayun,, na-close n pala account ko grrrrrrrr! suppose to be, dapat if there is a bank error, babalik young pera s paypal (and will be charge Php250.00) … nga lang nawala n ung pera wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..
(ill update my comment once “bumalik ung cash s paypal)
June 10th, 2009 at 3:28 am
To whom it may concern:
Ain’t satisfied with the BDO Credit Card because of the following reasons:
1.) They will not double check the billing of statement thus occasionally they committed errors.
2.) There billing of statement is late thus you have no enough time to prepare for your payment. Basically you are prone to charges for late payment.
3.) There is no specific date in the “Payment Due Date”.
3.) You can’t get in touch with their contact numbers using globe.
4.) They have no e-mail address in their website.
I hope the BDO will improve its services in order their customer will be satisfied. Thanks.

Hi!
This interests me because I am new to PayPal and I made the error of using it to withdraw my earnings from oDesk. Now, I have added my local bank account from which to withdraw it, in this case a BDO savings account but is yet to verify it because PayPal is looking for the PayPal code supposedly reflected in my card statement. Here’s the part I am finding difficulty with because I don’t receive a bank statement. I just withdraw money using my ATM debit card and occasionally have my bank book updated in my branch.
Can you please help me on this? Will the PayPal code appear in the bankbook or do I need to request a bank statement from my BDO branch.
Thanks!
January 26th, 2010 at 12:25 pm
confuse talaga aq d2 sa paypal..akala q talaga f i click the word ” verified” and put my bank account # there..i really thought na..all of my funds of what i’ve got here in paypal..na automatic na xa lahat mapunta sa bank account q..
pls help me…what shall i do w/this?
January 26th, 2010 at 1:29 pm
Liz.
Have you input your credit card yet in your profile and then activated the verification?
You shud see it in you credit card billing statement the 4 digit codes afterwhich you have to login again sa paypal and enter that 4 digit codes in order to finally verified your account now. I think you cant withdraw if you dont have a credit card first.
Hope this helps!
February 7th, 2010 at 7:13 am
Hello!
Please help. Can I use my BDO ATM debit card to confirm my paypal account?
February 7th, 2010 at 2:11 pm
@Mary Yes. you can use it as long as it is Visa or MasterCard.
“Debit Cards (also called check cards, ATM cards, or banking cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.”– Quotes from my Paypal Profile, under Financial Information.. cheers!
February 8th, 2010 at 8:23 am
@Melissa
Same problem here. I have a Metrobank account and did all the necessary paperwork for verification. Paypal said that 2 deposits were made on January 30, but I went there this afternoon to update my passbook and they told me there was no such transaction. I think paypal does not even communicate to banks that are included in their bank code list. The best thing to do is to get the debit card from payoneer then load the money from paypal.
March 3rd, 2010 at 7:38 am
Hi guys,
I recommend that you just use a Unionbank Eon account.
With Eon, it’s around 45+ .. And ang tagal ng waiting days to receive the cash.
With Eon, you have 2 options: withdraw to credit card / withdraw to bank account. if you can wait around 4 to 7 business days but want to get charged with 250 pesos but with a higher conversion rate, go for the credit card mode.
but with the bank account, 50 pesos charge lang, pero ang conversion rate, less. but not so low. mga 45 pesos naman.
the only difference between the two is yung code na ilalagay.
but all in all, in around 6 months na, I am totally satisfied with the services!
Pls see unionbankph.com for more details or browse through the topics at yugatech.com for more helpful tips..
March 3rd, 2010 at 2:01 pm

Hi. Patulong naman. I’m out of ideas na on how I can withdraw my noney from Paypal. Natatakot ako na biglang mawala yung pera so I tried making other accounts tas nililipat ko xa. I even went to the banks para iconfirm paypal. I tried my BPI account, Allied Bank account, Citibank visa, and we even got a metrobank Mastercard to no avail. di nman pla pwede. The other accounts din, di ngpush thru yung transaction. I even got a couple of calls from paypal to verify the transaction everytime I add a new bank. I’m so tempted na bumili na lang ng gamit online and use my paypal money to purchase pero nghihinayang naman ako. Kfrustrate talaga.
Help Please. Thanx!

September 24th, 2010 at 8:42 pm
hello to all..
I’m using a BDO account to withdraw money from Paypal.
TO WITHDRAW FUNDS TO YOUR BANK ACCT: Register your bank account sa Paypal. Make sure po that you are placing the correct Bank Account Number (HINDI yung nasa ATM card). Then it will ask you to verify a card and enter a Paypal code from your bank. So basically, you will need a BDO ATM card. I’m using the BDO ATM Debit Card with the MasterCard logo in it. For the Paypal code, I had to go to BDO and ask for the Paypal code. Makikita nila yan sa system nila upon presenting your account number. When you already have the Paypal code, enter it on the Paypal site to get verified. That’s the time na pwede ka na mkpgwithdraw.
Paypal charges P50 for withdrawals below P6,999. pgdating ng money sa bank acct mo (which you have to withdraw through ATM), BDO will charge another P200. I emailed BDO regarding this and this is their reply: “We wish to inform you that per Bank’s procedure, a service fee of Php 200.00 will be deducted to the gross amount received for an Incoming Foreign Telegrahic Transfer transaction.”
If you have further questions, you can email BDO directly: CALLCENTER@bdo.com.ph.
Hope this helps!

I have a Land Bank account that is linked to my Paypal account. I never had problems with it since I always get my money. My biggest concern is the exchange rate. Exchange rate natin ngayon is about 43 to 44 but when I do the transfer. 41 lng ang nakuha ko instead of 44..thats 3 pesos less..SO when I withdrew $500…it show up in my Land bank account as PHP21K w/c is way below the running rate.is it always like that?
October 23rd, 2010 at 1:57 pm
October 25th, 2010 at 10:59 pm
Hi,
i really recommend EON card from union bank. Just ask them about “paypal” and they will answer immediately. Unlike BDO or BPI they dont know about paypal. Unionbank has even an online guide:
http://www.unionbankph.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1061&Itemid=275
in my 3 years of using it, transferring from paypal to your EON only deducts 50 pesos if the amount is lower than 7000 and zero otherwise. If you open your currency calculator in your paypal, you would see the exact amount in peso. That is the same amount you will be receiving in your EON account. It only takes 2 days. Also you can withdraw from any ATM with “visa electron” logo (metrobank, bpi, bdo, etc). It has no minimum requirements (meaning your EON account could be zero balance so good for students) just a yearly payment of 350 pesos.
November 7th, 2010 at 10:43 am
YEs! i agree i recommend EON of Unionbank. About using BDO in paypal, HOnestly i call the bank and ask them about using my BDO account for paypal, they confirmed that no official link of bdo to paypal so that means BDO will not work with paypal.
November 8th, 2010 at 10:34 pm
December 1st, 2010 at 7:29 am
Have been using PAYPAL for 3 years, everything is smooth. madali pa. contact nyo ko 4 assistance. 09227610255
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:00 am
Mag-cha charge lang sila ng 1$ no more than that.
December 6th, 2010 at 10:13 am
2. kapag may credit card – use BDO or any bank account na pwede pang tanggapin sa paypal, kasi kung ibang bank ang gagamitin nyo maliban sa Unionbank EON, you need to verify your paypal account using a credit card.
December 12th, 2010 at 10:56 pm
few months ago, gamit ko PNB.. and it is really that ok.. smooth lage yung transaction.. kuha ko agad yung money within 2-4 days..
last2weeks ago, nawithdraw ako using BDO.. i waited 1 week after naging COMPLETED yung transaction box sa account ko.. but then wala.. araw2 ko vinivisit baka meron na.. naubos nalng cguro yung balance ko sa kaka.balance inquire ko pero wala.. nung vinisit ko ulit yung account ko, ayun REVERSED na yung nakalagay sa transaction.. i dont know why after COMPLETED transaction daw, biglang naging reversed..
anyway, i would recommend that u all use PNB.. its a very convenient way to have ur money in just a week..
January 20th, 2011 at 4:26 pm
@Kat, you said na-reversed yung transaction, right? Does it mean, bumalik sa Paypal account mo yung pera?
I’ve had the same problem, this wednesday lang nagprocess ako ng paypal to bdo then i called the bank today after checking online na wala yung amount then all of a sudden BDO closed my account without notice kahit yung pinaka recent transaction sa account ko is December 28, 2010.
I’m so anxious kung maibabalik pa yung pera ko.
March 12th, 2011 at 3:05 am
Hello,
Since di ko kaya mag maintain ng 2k a month sa ATM I always make it a point na mag-iwan ng 200php para monthly charge for not being able to maintain ADB and 100 at least para di ma close ang account. Last month, nag taas pala sila ng penalty ni hindi man lang ako pinadalhan ng letter or email man lang to notify me so they closed my account. I did not know of it so I transferred funds from PayPal to BDO and now I cannot withdraw it since closed na pala.
I tried to ask for help pero as always bank employees seemed oblivious about the fact that Paypal even exists. According to PayPal if such a thing happens I have to wait for the bank to send the money back pero BDO insists wala sa kanila yung pera dahil di sila tatanggap ng pera pag closed ang account. Here is what Paypal explained to me:
The network PayPal uses is the EFT which stands for Electronic Funds Transfer. Electronic transfers from your PayPal account to your bank
account usually take 5-7 business days to post to your bank account. An Electronic Fund Transfer is not the same as a Wire Transfer; it is a group of payments electronically transferred to participating depository financial institutions.
I am aware the most of the people at your location or region does not often use online payments, this is why PayPal is not yet known to most people in your country and I have no idea of any other existing online payment processor like PayPal.
Electronic transfers to your bank account usually take 5-7 business days to process. Holidays and weekends are not recognized as business days
for most banking facilities, which may result in a delay in your banking transactions.
The status of your withdrawal is ‘Completed’, which means it has completed through the PayPal system. Please note:
* PayPal has no control over the length of time it takes your bank to post their credits, and we do not receive confirmation when your
credit has been received by your bank
* Usually, if there is a problem with the transfer completing, it is rejected back to PayPal and the funds are reversed back into the PayPal account
* At this time, this transaction has not been rejected back to us. Therefore, we suggest that you contact your bank and ask to speak with
someone who works with Electronic Funds Transfers. This Department should be able to verify that your deposit was received.
Whew!

have to share a story related to deadghost15 story. nangyari din yan sakin, nag withdraw ako ng 4t sa metrobank atm gamit ang bdo atm ko, unfortunately hindi lumabas ang pera, receipt lang ang lumabas pero may deduction nang 4t, that was holy wednesday afternoon so I could’nt complaint to bank, I waited for monday, then I went to metrobank for a complaint, they said dun ka magreklamo sa bank mo which is bdo, so then I went to bdo, they let me fill a form for complain and said your money will be back within 5 working days, so I waited again, fortunately after 3days when I check my account online I saw it back to me.

it is much convenient to use unionbank eon card. Aside from 350 annual fee they will not charge you of anything. BDO has what they called service fee per bank transaction made, and it would cost you 200php, in my case they deducted 249.29 pesos. Its a big amount. Sad thing is i am not notified about this service fee. I only knew about it when I stumble on this blog. I hope this answers your query.

Guys, question:
Saang banko BEST i-withdraw ang PayPal money?
BPI? BDO? UnionBank Eon?
I am using UnionBank Eon.
Last week (August 22), I withdrew money from my PayPal account to my BDO account, transaction at PayPal was completed by August 25, there were three Philippine holidays (August 29-31) until now (September 2), wala pa, bale 3 banking days na lumipas. Still waiting for my money at my BDO account.
Then I withdrew money from my PayPal account this week (August 31) to my BPI account this time, transaction at PayPal was completed by September 1, today is September 2, wala pa, bale 1-2 banking days pa lang lumilipas. Still waiting for my money at my BPI account.
I have never tried withdrawing money to my UnionBank Eon.
When I transferred money from PayPal to my BDO and BPI, walang binawas ang PayPal (pag more than 7k ang winithdraw mo, walang bawas). Now, I’m worried about the banks’ service fees.
Tsk tsk.
