Last week (January 29) after reading the article at pinoy money talk about withdrawing of Paypal funds using Philippine local banks. I was so excited to test this new feature from Paypal using my BDO account..
After adding my BDO account on my Paypal account bank list. I enter $14, and see what will happen later.. I also capture the screen shot from this transaction so I can blog it later on. hehe
Heres the screenshot.
The transaction took only 3days (Jan.29-Feb.1). Additional screenshot…
The rate of P40.91 / $1.00USD was applied from this transaction, minus the 50php processing fee from Paypal I was expecting an additional 522.74php from my BDO account.. but only P322.74 has arrived. So what is the 200php deduction? So it means there was an additional bank payment transaction for every withdrawal?
(click to view mybdo passbook scanned pic hehe)
(Pacensya na po sa mga site visitors, wala nako pera sa passbuk hehe, kinain na ng service charge ng BDO wla man lang pasabi na 5,000php na pla maintaining balance nila bdtrip sila!, ) I’ll just update this post for additional infos.., please post your comments.. and don’t forget to subscribe to my feeds, thanks. UPDATE: (FEB.6,2008): – Heres the BDO Paypal bank code I used in this transaction: 010530667 – If you are looking for more Philippine Paypal bank code list.. pls visit the post from Pinoy Money talk

Thanks for sharing your story. I inquired sa BDO yesterday… they say kelangan ko daw ng Executive (di savings) account for me to withdraw my Paypal money… mejo naguluhan ako. If you can share more information and guidelines for me, I really appreciate it. Thanks.

I am from BDO, but i myself am not aware who processes the paypal transactions in our company. I have been trying to figure out the paypal transfer to bdo account because i myself would be using it.
As you can see the BDO code you used 010530667 is from a Manila branch. If i someone could just provide me a BDO account that had a successful paypal transfer i could be albe locate who processes the transactions. I think there is no such as 200 fee because it was not even listed in our handouts of service charges.

hahahahaha… BDO is a DAMN bank!!!
WALANG KWENTA!!!
Banco de Oro (BDO) was known to be the largest lender here in the Philippines but could you imagine a universal bank that sucks?!
BDO really sucks!! I got my worst experience when a bullshit ATM machine ate my P6K Cash Card account load … Until now the money was still not returned yet… I have called the toll free, the first time I called; an agent told me that processing will took 5 days of investigation and gave me a reference number. After 5days, I called to follow up my account; unfortunately, the agent told me that there’s no feedback yet and added 2 more days to wait. After 2 days, I called again but the agent told me to call back by tomorrow. Again I called, but same reason; the agent told me that there’s still no feedback. She told me to wait for an SMS that will be sent to me, but I haven’t received any SMS. Again I called, and the agent just repeats what has been the reason earlier. I feel so tired calling all over again and I can’t remember how many times I did just to get my money back. It’s almost one month already and BDO haven’t returned my money yet. I don’t know how and why it goes like this! To think, they got their system and they can easily track all transactions and I believe one day is just enough. All their branches were just like dummies! When you approach to them, they’ll just give a phone and let you talk to a call center agent! Very stupid! Could a call center agent fix this up and return the money on my account?! I feel like I’m bursting already while talking on the phone. Every word I hear was just the same. Where is reliability in their services? The agent also told me ones that the number of calls I made for follow up was part of the investigation. Does she mean it like a proof that I am really not just making a story? Oh c’mon! How I wish to have a gun and say, “CAN I SHOOT YOU MISS?”
I have lost my patience already. They got plenty of alibis. They brought to much hassle in me and in my work. Do they want me to call every day?!! How could I? I have my work and I can’t have time to call at their toll free every day. I’m not really happy with what BDO had done. I need my money back… I’ve got several bills and rents to pay. I need to pay my boarding house and my internet bills. BDO is making a bad day for me… And yeah… BDO is really the largest! The largest provider of INCONVENIENCE! It sucks!!
ang tagal nang investigation kahit may “HARD COPY” report sila sa mga hindi na-dispense withdrawals!! infact, 2 days waiting would be enough but here I am, almost a month of waiting…
BDO WALANG KWENTA!!!

People you should use UnionBank EON account
No maintaining balance you only have to pay 350 per annum…Ganun lang ka simply. Pag internet banking lamang ang UNIONBANK EON. less ang services charges nila compared to other big banks!

hi! i am using eon account from unionbank for 2 years already. yung pag withdraw ko ng funds from paypal to my eon account, P50 pesos lang yung charge. and mas madali kasi after 2 days credited na yung money sa account ko. minsan nga pag mag withdraw ako sunday evening, pagka monday around 6 pm credited na yung pera sa account ko. so i suggest you use eon account tapos pag mag withdraw, i withdraw mo sa bank account para P50 lang yung charge dahil $5 ang charge pag sa ATM mo i withdraw.
regarding naman dyan sa BDO, mas gusto ko pa yata yung equitable dati. yun naman talaga original account ko. buti pa yun nakapag check agad ako ng balance online. unlike ngayon na naging BDO na sila parang naging mahina ang service. tapos kailangan pang mag enroll sa online banking and it takes long. buti pa sa equitable dati, sign up ka lang online, ayos na!

Maliban sa USD5.00 na automatic binabawas ng Paypal, nagchacharge din ang banks natin (in my case Unionbank for my EON account) ng off-site withdrawal fee. For example, magwiwithdraw tayo ng USD500 sa EON or any debit card, bawas na agad ng USD5. Tapos pag reflect sa account natin, bawas na rin ng 15USD in US off-site withdrawal charge hehehe sama nga ano? ang off-site withdrawal charge depende sa amount withdrawn

To whom it may concern:
Ain’t satisfied with the BDO Credit Card because of the following reasons:
1.) They will not double check the billing of statement thus occasionally they committed errors.
2.) There billing of statement is late thus you have no enough time to prepare for your payment. Basically you are prone to charges for late payment.
3.) There is no specific date in the “Payment Due Date”.
3.) You can’t get in touch with their contact numbers using globe.
4.) They have no e-mail address in their website.
I hope the BDO will improve its services in order their customer will be satisfied. Thanks.

Hi!
This interests me because I am new to PayPal and I made the error of using it to withdraw my earnings from oDesk. Now, I have added my local bank account from which to withdraw it, in this case a BDO savings account but is yet to verify it because PayPal is looking for the PayPal code supposedly reflected in my card statement. Here’s the part I am finding difficulty with because I don’t receive a bank statement. I just withdraw money using my ATM debit card and occasionally have my bank book updated in my branch.
Can you please help me on this? Will the PayPal code appear in the bankbook or do I need to request a bank statement from my BDO branch.
Thanks!

Liz.
Have you input your credit card yet in your profile and then activated the verification?
You shud see it in you credit card billing statement the 4 digit codes afterwhich you have to login again sa paypal and enter that 4 digit codes in order to finally verified your account now. I think you cant withdraw if you dont have a credit card first.
Hope this helps!

Hello!
Please help. Can I use my BDO ATM debit card to confirm my paypal account?
February 7th, 2010 at 2:11 pm
@Mary Yes. you can use it as long as it is Visa or MasterCard.
“Debit Cards (also called check cards, ATM cards, or banking cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.”– Quotes from my Paypal Profile, under Financial Information.. cheers!

@Melissa
Same problem here. I have a Metrobank account and did all the necessary paperwork for verification. Paypal said that 2 deposits were made on January 30, but I went there this afternoon to update my passbook and they told me there was no such transaction. I think paypal does not even communicate to banks that are included in their bank code list. The best thing to do is to get the debit card from payoneer then load the money from paypal.

Hi guys,
I recommend that you just use a Unionbank Eon account.
Kasi, sobrang baba naman ng conversion rate sa bank na ginamit nio po. imagine, Php 40 lang. With Eon, it’s around 45+ .. And ang tagal ng waiting days to receive the cash.
With Eon, you have 2 options: withdraw to credit card / withdraw to bank account. if you can wait around 4 to 7 business days but want to get charged with 250 pesos but with a higher conversion rate, go for the credit card mode.
but with the bank account, 50 pesos charge lang, pero ang conversion rate, less. but not so low. mga 45 pesos naman.
the only difference between the two is yung code na ilalagay.
but all in all, in around 6 months na, I am totally satisfied with the services!
Pls see unionbankph.com for more details or browse through the topics at yugatech.com for more helpful tips..
