Nothing new here, I have just upgraded my Wordpress 2.5 into Wordpress version 2.7.1
The dashboard and the new features rocks! Just want to share how I upgrade my Wordpress engine on this blog. Its fast and robust, but I would not recommend for you to try it.
Heres what I did:
I know my upgrading process sucks. Let me know how do you upgrade your wordpress?

Heres what I did:
- Back up first, I backup everything via Wordpress XML export, next I download the Wordpress .SQL from my PhpMyAdmin to have a total database backup
- I opened the Wordpress 2.7.1 installer zip file FROM MY COMPUTER, extract the zip file then remove the folder WP-CONTENT. Then I renamed the file wp-config-sample.php into wp-config.php with the previous wp-config server settings. Then I zipped it again, and uploaded the ZIP
- Then on my CPANEL Filemanager, I manually select the folders and files of my previous Wordpress 2.5. EXCEPT the uploaded 2.7.1 Wordpress Installer Zipped file and the WP-CONTENT folder that contains my wordpress themes and uploaded pictures and docs,
- After selecting the old Wordpress 2.5 files, I deleted them to make room for the new version
- I was exposing my files at my site, because I deleted index.php, so I am in a hurry of UNZIPPING my uploaded wordpress 2.7.1.
- After extracting the new version… I go to my WP Admin page, after login using my old username and password. The new dashboard has a prompt page, asking me to hit the UPGRADE button, to make some compatability updates on my Wordpress 2.7.1 database.
- Its done!

how i wish i can do the same! mine is not even 2.5. i hope my host (same as yours) will help me on this when i migrate to their new hosting plan soon.

nakapag upgrade na ako sa wordpress 2.7.1 pero wala namang akong pagbabagong nakikita.. ganun pa rin.. hehe

Tips naman ano ba maganda na host at mura lang?? naasar kasi ako sa blogspot blog balak ko sana gumamit ng wordpress. Thanks in advance.
