Few weeks ago after Google has updated their pagerank. Many bloggers was unhappy with their new Google pagerank, others are happy.. but others doesnt care about pagerank.
Three Google pagerank updates has passed but still my PR5 doesnt change, thank God!
I am not an SEO expert, I am still a newbie just want to share this little tip of mine how I maintain this blog’s Pagerank from PR3 upto PR4 then to PR5.
Personally I used rel=nofollow a lot when linking on new sites or posting a link list of sites.
3 TIPS to Maintain your Google Pagerank
#1 - DO NOT SELL LINKS
Avoid paid per post programs.. Google Engineer Matt Cutts says Google has a variety of methods to detect if a link is paid or not. But just incase…
#2 - AVOID EXCESSIVE LINKS
- Learn how to use rel=nofollowPersonally I used rel=nofollow a lot when linking on new sites or posting a link list of sites.
#3 - AVOID TOO MUCH LINK EXCHANGE
Link exchange is good. But do it wisely… Read the Google linking guide. I stopped the link exchange practice since last year.. coz I found other ways to get incoming links, I am going to blog it soon..The next Google Toolbar next pagerank update will arrive again after 2-3months, hope my little tips will help you to keep your current Google pagerank. That’s all for now…

Hmmm… just one question, what if I genuinely want to write about paid posts as a good source of income in my finance blog, how do I link their sites? I guess I’d just have to put a “nofollow” tag right?
Anyway, thanks for these tips. I’m eagerly waiting for your post on alternative ways to get inbound links. As of the moment, I only know one strategy which I got from Marghil which is a 3-way exchange link.

@Fitz Thanks Fitz, I think much better to put a rel=nofollow tag specially if you are blogging about the paid posts programs itself..
